GenAI Critical Friend for Emerging Ideas

Emerging ideas benefit from challenge before they harden into plans or claims. Externalise the idea and its context, then use a deliberately critical interlocutor to probe assumptions, identify evidence gaps, generate alternatives and test consequences. Capture the critique and revisions so the reasoning remains inspectable. GenAI can widen the range of questions and counterpositions, but it is neither a colleague nor an authority; the author evaluates the critique and retains ownership of the idea and any decision to develop it.

  • Local or privacy-preserving implementation: keep sensitive artefacts in controlled storage and prefer local extraction, transcription, search, or model execution where capability and governance permit.
